Privacy notice

This notice covers hedge.rw — this website — and explains what Hedge does with personal data you send us here. Customer data held inside the Hedge platform itself is governed by the agreement with the company that subscribes to it; in that case Hedge is a processor acting on that company's instructions, and this notice does not replace it.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you submit the demo request form we receive your name, farm or company name, email address, country, what you run, and any optional phone number or message you choose to include.
- What you email us. Anything in a message you send to a hedge.rw address.
- Basic request logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary web-server data such as IP address, browser and requested page, in order to serve the site and to protect it from abuse.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Why we hold it, and for how long
We use what you send solely to reply to you, to arrange and run a demonstration, and to keep a record of the conversation if you become a customer. The lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry.
Enquiries that do not lead to a customer relationship are deleted within 24 months. Ask us sooner and we will delete them sooner.
Who else sees it
Only the people at Hedge who need to answer you, and the service providers that operate our infrastructure — website hosting, database hosting and email delivery. Those providers process data on our instructions under their own contractual and security obligations, and some of them operate servers outside Rwanda. We do not disclose personal data to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to privacy@hedge.rw and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in Rwanda, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Cyber Security Authority, which supervises Law No. 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page loads; that request is subject to Google's own privacy terms.
Security
The site is served over TLS. Enquiry data is held in access-controlled systems and is available only to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal data we will notify you and the supervisory authority as the law requires.
